Relatively light (44mm weigh 280g on my postal scale), so not flyweight, but for ergo alloy bars, definitely competitive. The polished/painted black section where the stem clamps seems to be real durable-have mounted bike lights, computers, etc and twisted them around to get the angle right, and the paint still looks like new. FSA has definitely done their homework on ergonomics. I am using these with Campy 11s levers and the transition from hood to the top of the bars is seamless-I REALLY like this aspect of the bar. The flat section on the tops is nice, but it makes it a little tricky to get the tilt angle just right-if you tilt it too far up with the bar ends at an angle, it puts your wrists in an awkward position tilt it completely level and the drops feel a little cramped.hard to explain, but just takes a little fiddling to get perfect. The reach (80mm) for me is ideal-I've got some Easton bars that are 75mm, and some Ritcheys that are 82mm.these are right in the middle and seem to suit me (personal preference of course). I can stay in the drops with these for miles, which I can't seem to do with other bars. The shallow drop and gradual curve in the "hooks" makes for a very comfy position when you need to get low for corning, drafting or generally keeping out of the wind. Volume distribution and bottom rocker allow the board to fly properly when at full foil positioning. The concave deck with its tail kick pad allows your knees to be pushed into the proper surfing stance and also allows you to push and be more wedged inside the board pushing those never ending cutbacks and off the lips. A strong double concave bottom lends to quicker paddling and an excellent rebound when pumping and touching down.
